Nissan Armada

Nissan Armada

Appearing like a bit-part player from one of the Mad Max movies. Armada is really a curious beast; buyers obtain a choice of two- or four-wheel drive (with slightly different gearing within the standard automatic transmission) which hints at off-road capability, however the tall, muscularly-styled machine is nearly a low-rider, with ground clearance quite different from those of a sedan.

Yet despite its insufficient ground clearance the Armada doesn't handle just like a car - instead it pitches and rolls a tad too much for comfort. Both wheel variant may also suffer deficiencies in traction, as a result of surfeit of power in the 5.5 litre all aluminium V8, which pumps out 305PS and enough torque to tow a 20 tonne truck without noticing.
