Recently revised, with increased changes than are apparent (revised front and back styling, cleaned-up lines, a freshened interior and partial utilization of aluminium to enhance weight and balance) another big bit of news in the S-Type camp is the fact that now there is a bi-turbo diesel engine offered.
Developed in addition to Peugeot, the engine produces plenty of torque – sufficient to provide a 0-100kph time of 8 seconds – with excellent economy and driveability.
The petrol line-up is every bit impressive, in the entry-level 2.5V6 up to and including stunning 400PS supercharged V8. Handling is sharp and clean, and luxury may come as standard.
