There’s a front drive only version offered, however the best package may be the 4×4, with either the torque-rich diesel of the 147PS petrol engine, on-road performance is preferable to many in this class, and off-road behaviour is nice, if not excellent.
If it’s sometimes outclassed by its competition (mainly the Freelander or HR-V) it claws back some credibility since it looks the part more than they are doing.
